Our involvement with Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and other faith traditions enhances our understanding and love of our neighbors. It’s what Jesus told us to do!
Both the Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship Service and the Washington County Martin Luther King Jr. Interfaith Celebration began in our sanctuary. These have outgrown our space and now occur in larger venues. Interfaith Action Network of Washington County had representation from our church at its formation, and continues to include our involvement in events such as the Annual Faith Forum and the Mayors’ Interfaith Luncheon.
In the spirit of Christ's prayer from John 17 that "all may be one," we join together with our "extended faith family" from local churches for a special joint worship services including the annual Ecumenical Good Friday service. We've also participated in a community outdoor service, sharing worship and a potluck lunch in a local park (read more).
